Announcements
The Announcements module enables Group Leaders to create and publish announcements. The published announcements are posted to the Global Feed on the Affinities homepage and the Announcements tab on the group page.

- Click on the Create Announcement button in the upper right corner of the Announcements module to open the New Annoucement editor.

- Enter a title for your Announcement.
- Enter the body of your Announcement in the Description window. Use the toolbar (indicated in the image above) to format your text and add dividers, links, or images.
- Use the chapters dropdown to select the Chapter for the announcement, or leave it blank to publish for all Chapters.
- Tick the Custom Reply To Email checkbox under Other Options to designate an inbox to receive replies to the Announcement.
- Click Upload Files to add up to 3 attachments to the Annoucement. Supported file types are:
- .pdf
- .xls
- .xlsx
- .ppt
- .pptx
- .doc
- .docx
- .png
- .jpeg
- .jpg
- Click Save Draft to save your Annoucement and continue on to publishing.
- Filter by state:
- Published: Announcements currently published to the platform.
- Draft/Not Published: Announcements that have been created but are not published.
- Filter by:
- Year:
- Shows all announcements for the selected year.


- Locate the draft announcement to be managed by using the filters at the top of the Announcements page.
- Click the Action Menu (three vertical dots) to see the action items.


Use this action to edit the draft.
This action allows the creator and other leaders to review the announcement via email before publishing. Clicking this opens an email review window where reviewers can be selected from a dropdown or their email addresses can be manually added. A note for reviewers can also be included. Once submitted, the announcement is sent as an email only to the creator and selected users.
This action brings up the Publish Annoucement window to publish the annoucement.
- Indicate where you would like the annoucement to publish.
- This platform only: This will publish to the Annoucements tab.
- Email: This will send emails as well as publishing to the platform.
- Indicate when you would like the annoucement to publish.
- Now: Publishes the annoucement immediately.
- Schedule for later: Allows user to select a future date and time for the annoucement to be automatically published.
This action permanently deletes the annoucement from the platform.
- You will be presented with available options for the published annoucement.
This action places the selected Annoucement at the top of the communications posted to the Annoucements tab. It will remain at the top until Unpin Annoucement is selected from the action menu.
This action allows you to edit the published annoucement.
This action allows the annoucement to be emailed to other people in your organization by entering in up to 10 email addresses.
Get Shareable Link
This action displays a direct link to the annoucement that can be shared with other users. Click "Copy" to copy the link to your clipboard and paste into the desired area.
Allows user to see how many emails were sent out, how many unique recipients opened the email, and how many people clicked any associated links within the annoucement.
Permanently deletes the annoucement from the platform.

- Navigate to the Reports tab.
- Locate "Download Annoucements Report"
- Click the link to download the report as a .CSV file.
