module overview the email module allows leaders to create and send emails automatically based on a trigger or directly to a subset of users these emails are only available for members to view through their inbox the basics how to create an automated email to create an automated email you must first select the trigger that will cause the email to be sent the trigger can be based on the following criteria on join on leave membership anniversary once the trigger is set, select the scope from the dropdown the scope allows you to set the automated email at the group level, chapter level, or channel level select the corresponding template from the dropdown and complete the form select "create" to begin composing your email trigger dropdown automated email form use the design feature to create a customized email to be automatically retrieved based on the set trigger once finished with the design, select "update" below the design window how to activate an automated email automated email settings once you've finished designing your automated email you can click "preview" to check the format select "activate" to make it live on the platform if you need to make changes, click "edit" to open the design feature if the automated email is no longer needed, select "delete" how to send a direct email to start a new message click "new message" to open the new message form select a chapter from the dropdown to send your message to members from that chapter list delect the recipients from the dropdown fill in the subject and message once you have completed your message, click "preview message" at the bottom if you need to make changes click "back to composer" to continue editing an additional feature is the option to click "send message for review" which allows you to share it with another leader before sending it to the recipients the yellow "send message" button will send the message to all recipients that were selected if you want to save the message and exit the new message form, click "save draft " if you no longer want the message, click "delete message" to permanently delete it configuration options enable/disable email module enable/disable email tracking enable/disable url tracking enable/disable attachments
