\What Are Dynamic Lists?

Dynamic lists enable efficient creation and management of distribution lists using HRIS attributes. You can categorize lists by job grade, department, or region. Targeted communication such as emails, announcements, newsletters, and events can be directed to these dynamic lists. The module automatically removes terminated employees and adds new hires as their HRIS files are created.

Creating Dynamic Lists

To initiate the creation of a new dynamic list from the admin panel:

  • Click on "Dynamic Lists" in the menu pane and simply click the "+ New Dynamic List" button in the resulting window.

  • Fill in the resulting form.
  • For Use In: Indicate whether this will be used across an entire zone or only for a specific group, or both.
  • List Name: Give your list an easily recognizable name.
  • List Description: A longer explanation of the content of the list.
  • Critera: Mapped attributes will appear here to allow Admins to select the attributes to be included in this list.

  • Once list is created, click on the button under the Action column to Activate.
  • To edit an Activated list, click the Action button to Deactivate the list and access the Edit menu.
  • Show Users button will show all users contained within the Dynamic List.
  • Show Rules button will show all active rules that are defining the Dynamic List.

Using Dynamic Lists

When creating content, Group Leaders will be able to easily access the Dynamic Lists to target their communications.

  • Create a new communication; Announcement, Event, Newsletter
  • Select "Dynamic Lists" option from the Create In dropdown
  • Check the name of the list to be used.

  • This communication will now be sent to the inboxes of the list members.
