the announcements tab allows groups admin to create and publish announcements the published announcements are part of the global feed on the affinities homepage, as well as under the announcements tab on the erg home the following image shows the announcements tab in the admin panel creating announcements to create an announcement, click on the create announcement button this opens the new announcement window as shown in image below in the announcement title field, enter a title for the announcement in the description box add the description a toolbar is available in the description box to format the entered text click ‘save draft’ button to save the created announcement please note that the announcement created here is not published automatically, it is saved in draft mode and requires publishing to send out notifications to the intended members managing published announcements to see published announcements, use the filter by state, and select published this will show only published announcements each unpublished announcement has an action button all actions from the action button are explained below edit – this allows you to edit the announcement get shareable link click this action to get a shareable link for the announcement that can be shared with other program leaders in email, chats etc email review – this allows you to add additional people to review your announcement before you publish it publish– this allows you to publish and send your announcement clone makes an exact copy of the announcement export creates a downloadable json script that can be be used to import the announcement into other mentoring programs delete this allows you to delete the announcement once the announcement is published, the action items change this is shown below pin announcement – this action pins the announcement to show up on top in the home tab edit – admin can use this action to edit an already published announcement clicking edit opens the update announcement window once the changes are made admin can click publish update button and choose publish on platform only or send out email with updated announcement share by email – this action opens a ‘share post with users’ window , and allows up to 25 email addresses to be entered with whom this announcement can be shared by email get shareable link – click this action to get a shareable link for the announcement that can be shared in email, chats etc email tracking this action opens the email statistics window that shows the total recipients to whom the email was sent and how many users have opened it clone makes an exact copy of the announcement export creates a downloadable json script that can be be used to import the announcement into other mentoring programs delete use this action to delete a published announcement
