Zone Configuration
The sub menus under zone configuration allow platform admins to manage zone regions and zone email settings. Both the menus are explained below in detail.
This menu item on the admin panel allows platform admins to manage regions within the zone. The following screenshot shows the ‘Manage Zone Regions’ Screen:
The list displayed on the left side shows the Available Regions that have been configured in the platform, the list on the right shows the regions within the current zone. The right and left arrow button in the middle can be used to move regions between lists. The Region on the right shows the regions that are included in the current zone. Click the update button once the regions have been moved between lists save changes.
This menu item on the admin panel allows platform admins to enable and disable email notifications that are sent out from the platform. The following screenshot shows the ‘Email Setting’ screen:
Send Email slider can be used to enable and disable email communications. The three slider positions are explained in detail below:
- Slider moved to left - Disables all email notifications.
- Slider moved to middle - Enables only basic email notifications. For example, emails that are targeted to individual users e.g. Invite User to become a member, RSVP updates, Password Change, Approval Emails.
- Slider moved to right - Enables all email notifications, this includes all basic emails plus all bulk emails for e.g. published newsletter, events, announcements, team inactivity etc.
Text entered in the ‘Default From Name’ field is shown as the from name in the emails that are sent out from the platform.
Default from address can also be defined in the ‘Default From Address’ field. However for the email address to work, custom SMTP integration has to be enabled. In case left blank the ‘Default From address’ is noreply@{clientname}.affinities.io .
Default Reply to Address - Email address can be added to this field, in case you want to add reply capability to the emails sent out from the platform.
Once all settings have been updated, click the ‘Update Setting’ button to save the changes.
